North Highland Way
Now that the Caithness & Sutherland Walking Festival is over for 2010, there are still some great events up here in the far north. We are in the process of updating the web pages, meanwhile, join us on the North Highland Way or join in the Round Britain Run. Even though this has now passed through Caithness & Sutherland you can still log on to their activities in preparation for the 2012 event!

North of Scotland Hospitality (NOSH) is in the process of developing a network of Walker are Welcome Cafes in the northern Highlands. This is a joint project between NOSH and the Dunnet Head Educational Trust. The first of these is at the Journeys End at John o Groats. The cafe welcomes walkers every day, but on Mondays has a special menu for walkers, stocks a range of literature about walking, and is a great place for local people and visitors to stop by and swap walking stories.
